Wishart is a hamlet in the Rural Municipality of Emerald No. 277, about 32 kilometres southwest of Elfros, where Highway 639 and Highway 743 meet.
For many years Wishart was an incorporated village. That changed on January 1, 2002, when it was restructured as a hamlet under the authority of the RM of Emerald No. 277, which is how it remains today.
